<title>Bomet county portal</title>
<link>http://repository.must.ac.ke/handle/123456789/1052</link>
<description>Bomet county portal
Langat, Kipsang Vincent
Bomet county is rich and diverse in terms of agriculture produce but farmers lack a proper marketing of the products. It could be steps ahead of other counties from its Tea, Maize and Milk if the national and county authorities were more dedicated to ensuring farmers were protected from middle men who have invaded the area and exploited them. Sharing information and marketing produce in the region is a big problem to farmers leaving many of them at loss after harvest season yet agriculture is the main economic activity practiced by the people of Bomet County .The county people receive minimal information on opportunities available in the regional , national and in international markets, professionals in the county are very hard to reach the people on the grass roots in information concerning development. The information does not reach the people easily and efficiently . Observation and interviewing and use of questionnaires are the key methods applied to collect data, observation is a way of gathering data by watching behavior, events, or noting physical characteristics in their natural setting while interviewing is a systematic way of talking and listening to people while recording the required data. The questionnaire is used for data collection because it offers considerable advantages in the administration, Gay (1992) maintains that questionnaires give respondents freedom to express their views or opinion and also to make suggestions. The results of the reserch done in Bomet county clearly shows that poverty level lies at 56 percent and the biggest contributors of poverty are middlemen (District Development Officer,Mr.Ngeno,2012), different farmers interviewed blame the small amount of money they gain in exchange of their agricultural produce, this is due to many middlemen in between. Currently ther is no system which enables the farmers to reach the final buyers of their produce and also to be taught on how to produce better.BCP will definitely boost the development activities in the county and enable farmers get more profit, they should therefore be ready to embrace and learn technology in order for them to generate more profit and increase county revenue out of agricultural profit.

<title>Intergrated farming and marketing system</title>
<link>http://repository.must.ac.ke/handle/123456789/1051</link>
<description>Intergrated farming and marketing system
Njehu, Charles Muigai
The process of marketing, finding customers, and the whole process of farm production remains a challenge to farmers. This is mostly because of a lack of sufficient information on the current market, a lack of defined marketplaces, and appropriate farming methods from the area officers and the farmers' associations. This leads to price fluctuations, and value loss of the produce as some of them are perishable and are of poor yields due to lack of advice from the cooperative, related boards, and scarce information provided on modern farming methodologies. By the end of the day, the farmer will go for the least prices, experience increased waste, thus a reduction in produce causing low living standards and rise in poverty level. Therefore, there is a need for more reliable, efficient and automated system to help farmers on finding information on modern farming methods, current market status and accessing planting advice from fellow farmers and experts.

<title>Advertisement Portal</title>
<link>http://repository.must.ac.ke/handle/123456789/47</link>
<description>Advertisement Portal
Chelangat, Nancy
In order to ward off increased competition or generate additional customers, one needs to advertise.(KHJ radio,2013,pg1) Because you cannot yell loud enough to let the entire territory hear why they should do business with you, you need to select an advertising platform radio, television or print. Advertising in the digital age is a different thing than it was years ago.(Damsels in success,2013,pg1) traditionally, ads were primarily used on television or radio and in magazines and targeted to a wide range of different consumers in an attempt to raise brand awareness. These methods are no longer viable in the ever-expanding digital world. Today's consumers are more tech-sway than ever and are more in control of what advertisement or information they consume on a daily basis. Advertising in the digital age has come to mean using different ad channels such as mobile and social networks to get the advertisers message across. (Damsels in success ,2013,pg1). The current major problem that business people face is in finding the right customers for their products and services. The proposed advertisement portal to be developed will help the business have a wider customer audience. This makes it very hard for people to get access to information about available goods, owners also are not able to advertise their produce. The above problem leads to losses of high degree due to expiry of products that lack market. Owners also end up having to sell their products at a throw away prices. The proposed system is going to solve the problems above in that : Access to information about advertised products is made easy, the portal is going to be some repository that will provide people with a chance to advertise their specific goods and services that they require. There is also going to be provision for one to leave comments about the products and the services advertised. This will promote forums and discussions among diverse people who have used the particular products and services. In this manner also, more products will be advertised.
